Major deals signed as Vietnam PM visits

Laos and Vietnam have inked deals worth multi-millions of US dollars during a two-day official visit by Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc from April 26-27 that concludes today. The bilateral agreements were signed by respective high ranking officials of both sides in Vientiane yesterday, boosting bilateral cooperation as well as marking the celebration of Laos-Vietnam Friendship Year 2017. A total of nine agreements were signed in Vientiane between the Lao Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Vietnamese Ministry of Communication and Transport including the joint venture Vung Ang seaport development project in Vietnam’s central Ha Tinh province.
